"Sounds like a fine legacy to live up to then," He quietly admired the look of her in his shirt. "I really look forward to meeting everyone." Sitting back down on the bed, Spencer had a slightly more serious look on his face as reached for Opal's hand and tugged her gently toward him, "My only concern is if they would have a problem with the fact I come as part of a package deal. Will everyone be okay with that? That you're marrying into basically an instant family?"

"I have a feeling that my mother will be elated to having an instant granddaughter. And with how happy I am feeling, I feel they will welcome the package deal wholeheartedly. Though as I said, you may have to pass the inspection. They will do that to do a bit of teasing where I am concerned." Opal giving a giggle. "They are good people though."

"You know, I think we'll need to have a bit of a sit down to go over who's who in our families so that we don't get confused," Spencer admitted, liking the idea of Rubi gaining another grandmother, "I also think that we should maybe getting these meetings done next time shoreleave swings back around closer to home, unless you'd like to take some time off outside of it and we go see everyone? Just a suggestion." He smiled at her as he rubbed his thumb over the band of her hand.

"Ah yes, we do need to do that, plus making a little bit of a chart with notes would be good as well. A lot of ground to cover." Opal leaning in for a kiss. When Spencer spoke of meeting the others somewhere she answered "Aye, when we get some shore leave a meet up with our various family members sounds like a great plan." a furrow appeared, as Opal thought about meeting Rubi and the others of his family. "I hope your family will like me, especially Rubi."

"Rubi will adore you, I promise." Spencer admitted, "She'll be all over you, wanting to know everything, and I daresay you'll become her favourite person. As for my family, ma will definitely love you because you're a loving, generous and kind person," he kissed her again and added with a grin, "Unlike other people my brother and I have brought home previously."

"I will take your word on that." Opal feeling a bit relieved at his words, running her hand along his arm to his hand. "I am so relieved. I had this fear that, they would take one look at me and say, 'Nope throw her back into the pond where you got her.'" giving an apologetic smile.

Spencer laughed at the comment, "The only one doing any throwing of you into a pond is me, and I'll be following close behind. Mind you, there's a huge one at my parent's place and we all like to play games, so be careful if you get near it." He thought back to one of the holidays he'd spent there with Rubi in tow and he and his brother and cousins had played football, with Caleb ending up in the water.

He stood up and pulled her up with him, "I think though, that we should be getting some food soon, right? I'm pretty sure the breakfast rush is over in the main dining hall, unless you would like to go to a cafe or something?"

"We can go to the main dining hall, I don't mind." Opal responded then looked down at what she was wearing. "I think I need to get changed first." giving a giggle. "As much as I do like wearing your clothing, I think I need to wear something else." batting her eyes at Spencer.

"Are you sure?" He grinned and looked her up and down, seeing absolutely nothing wrong with what she was wearing. "I definitely don't have a problem with what you're wearing. But I guess I should let you go so you can go and have a shower and whatnot, I guess you'll be talking to your roommates about this morning too? I don't want to be a part of that conversation." He laughed again. "Meet me down in the main dining hall in like half an hour then?"

"A half an hour will work out just perfect. Give me time to clean up and get questioned by my bunkmates. I am not looking forward to that. I think one of my bunkmates might be a tad bit jealous of my being with you." Opal chuckling. "She had her eyes on you, hoping that she'd get a chance where you are concerned." Opal gave him a kiss, then went to change into her other clothing. "So, do you want me to pack some essentials, and I stay with you for a time?" Opal said as she looked at Spencer.

Her roommate had a crush on him? His cheeks flushed pink for a moment, and he smirked and laughed, "Well don't I feel special! I'm just a man in high demand, apparently! At least you can say that you won that round with her because I'm all yours, my dear." The kiss was always nice so once Opal had finished changing, Spencer moved toward her and wrapped his arms around her, "I'm not going to pressure you into doing anything you don't want to do, but this space would feel kind of empty without you here, so you are more than welcome to stay any time you want. Preferably permanently."

"I honestly would love to be here with you. Waking up to see you in the morning, to me is Heavenly perfection." Another lingering kiss, before Opal stepped away from Spencer. "See you in a half an hour." She quickly left his quarters, the sooner Opal got done, the quicker she will get to see Spencer once more.

Once Opal had walked out of his quarters, Spencer let out the breath he didn't realise he'd been holding and he took a seat on his bed, thinking about how happy she made him and how he was the lucky one to find someone so amazing. Flopping onto his back, the weight of her saying yes released a deluge of things that needed to be put into motion, including talking to the Captain, and he wondered how that conversation would go.

Opal looked back towards Spencer's door, giving a gentle smile. Who knew this would happen, she didn't, but Opal couldn't imagine a life without Spencer in it.
