Spencer woke up and blinked a few times to help him gain consciousness. Sleep still had a firm grip on him and his mind was foggy with the details of what happened last night. At least he was in his own bed this time, right? He could hear the soft breathing of someone next to him and he looked over to his left to see the gorgeous redhead that was Opal, sleeping peacefully with both hands under her cheek and her hair was covering her face slightly as she was facing him.
He smiled as he realised, he'd been falling for her hard and last night had solidified that. Rolling over gently so as to not wake her, Spencer moved the hair out of her face and back behind her ear so that he could see her face as she smiled softly and moved around, a sure sign she was content with being asleep next to him.
He rolled over onto his back and stretched before locking his hands behind his head and staring up at the ceiling, and that's when the doubtful thoughts started to creep in. What if I mess this up? We work together and it'll make it really awkward, and I don't want that. What if it gets to a point where I introduce her to Rubi and one of them doesn't like the other? How would someone like Opal, like someone like me? She's an amazing woman and I don't want to mess it up with her like I messed things up with Sarah. Then he remembered what she had said last night: "Do you realise how incredible you are?" and the softness in her voice as she said it, "I don't want to go anywhere else except be right here, to spend time with you." The two thoughts quietened his mind and drove the other thoughts away, leaving him with a truly happy smile.
Moving slowly, Spencer removed the covers from his side and swung his legs off the bed and bent down to pick up and put on the pants he'd been wearing last night. Gently getting up and off the bed, he moved the covers back up so Opal wouldn't be cold if she rolled over and chucked on his shirt before heading into the little kitchenette and toward the replicator to make a coffee for them both. Wait, he didn't know how she liked her coffee, or if she liked coffee at all! After hesitating for a few moments, Spencer walked back to the bed with two standard coffees and sat one on the nightstand next to Opal before he moved to the seat nearby to drink his own and watch her sleep happily, but not in the creepy way, of course.
As far as Opal was concerned, she was caught in the most wondrous dream, she was with Spencer in his quarters, such a lovely piece of paradise. She stirred somewhat in her slumber, starting to wake up as the aromatic aroma of fresh coffee wafted its way towards her nose. Her eyes fluttered open, focusing first on- Spencer!
"Oh, it's not a dream! Or am I sleeping? If I am dreaming do not wake me; if I am awake, kiss me." giving a little bit of a stretch as she beamed towards the handsome man looking at her.
Spencer beamed at the words she said and put down his coffee as quickly as he could without spilling it before he was moving back over towards her, crossing the distance between them in a few strides. "Don't need to tell me twice," he grinned as he was on his side of the bed in an instant and kissing her, his hands gently placed either side of her face, "Good morning, beautiful, I promise this isn't a dream."
His warm lips meeting hers, Opal pulled him in close giving Spencer a heartfelt kiss. When their lips parted, "Yummy, I am so lucky being here with you." she murmured against his lips. "Doubly glad that this isn't a dream." Running her hand along his back. "I probably should be getting out of bed though, as I am catching the scent of a fresh cup of coffee."
Spencer was still tasting the lingering feel of her lips on his and had his eyes closed, "Mmm, I think coffee can wait," he said as he leaned back in for another kiss with a smile. He pulled away slightly, "Plus it's right next to you so you don't have to get out of bed."
And then he began planting a trail of kisses down, starting with her jaw, her neck, in between her collar bone and neck, "Feel free to stop me at any time," he paused and said with a wolfish grin. "Just say the word and I'll stop."
"Don't....don't stop." Opal giving way to her passions.
