General Overview		Michael is a fairly good-natured, all around nice guy. Has a sense of adventure, a good head on his shoulders, and at times a bit of a negotiator. He's had to be with being the middle child of five.
Strengths & Weaknesses		He has an analytical and creative mind.Has an enjoyment of life. Is compassionate, fair minded and honest. Fairly dextrous and agile, Has a great amount of curiosity. Disciplined. Knows when to relax. Can be fairly adaptable to situations. Has an adventurous spirit. Occasionally being a nice guy and a sense of adventure can have its disadvantages, if he isn't careful Michael can find himself in an awkward situation or two, when a person takes his niceness as something more than just being nice. At times Michael feels that he can be a weirdness magnet, just strange things happening, or attracting some attention he wasn't even trying for. It baffles Michael at times, but he has learned to just ride on the wave of unexpected happenings, having faith that things will somehow right itself. if not, well he's prepared to take the knocks that may come.
Ambitions		Michael's ambitions to go explore to see new and interesting things, to seek new horizons, meet new races, see the galaxies. To Michael, space is the new sort of ocean, mysterious, dangerous and beautiful. Another ambition he has is to find someone he can share his life with, and have a family of his own. He also wishes to command his own ship, someday, following in his grandfather's footsteps.
Hobbies & Interests		Michael has quite a variety of interests he accumulated whilst growing up. History, sailing on a tall ship, Shotokan Karate. He knows how to fight with swords and knives. Played Rugby, swimming, dancing, acrobatics and gymnastics. His music tastes is rather eclectic, ranging from classical, songs from the 40's, 50's, 60's on up. Folk songs, musicals. On occasion, Klingon Opera.He also likes to sing, and plays violin, flute and baroque flute plus a little bit of piano, of which he travels with. He loved watching old earth films, things with Douglas Fairbanks Sr. Douglas Fairbanks JR. Errol Flynn as well as other swashbuckling movies, plus other sorts of movies. He is also interested in learning new languages.

Personal History		Michael grew up in the coastal town of Brixham, a place filled with rich history. As a boy, he stepped on the deck of the Golden Hind replicae, visited the site where the troops loaded up on ships as part of the D-Day fleet. When school was out during the summer break, he sailed as part of the crew of his maternal Grandfather Cole's tall ship, the Triflewith. His grandfather Cole ran a tour where people could experience what it was like to be on a tall ship. Michael's mother Ruby is part of the historical society to preserve the historical value of Brixham. His father, Joseph Andrew Hawkins works as an operations personnel to keep the transport systems running which connect Brixham to other towns and cities.His paternal Grandfather, Artemus Gordon Hawkins was captain of the USS Brixham, a science vessel, until his retirement. With the blood of seafarers running in his veins, and hearing of adventures of his grandfather and other relatives, its no small wonder that Michael would want to go exploring the new frontier of the vast boundless expanse of space. Michael joined StarFleet Academy, graduated with honors, was assigned to Avalon Station as part of the operations and engineering team.With the ongoing daily operations of Avalon Station,Michael was rather involved in both aspects of maintaining operations and engineering. On Avalon Station at times a person had to function in more than one capacity. Michael was transferred to the USS Boudicea, serving a year under the Command of Rear Admiral Cara Letsul as an assistant chief engineer. He enjoyed it very much, and was hoping that he would continue with that ship. However it was not to be. Instead, to his surprise, Michael transferred to the USS Brixham. It was like coming home, due to having had the opportunity to travel at one time with his Grandfather. He found out that he had been personally requested by Captain John Weatherly. Michael was amazed to find this out, and that Captain Weatherly had served under his Grandfather. Michael had asked Captain Weatherly once why he requested him, the captain just smiled and said, "I have my reasons, maybe someday you will find what they were." Michael enjoyed his time on the USS Brixham and was saddened when the USS Brixham was to be decommissioned. Michael was transferred to the USS Mercury which was one of the ships which was set to explore the Gamma Quadrant. The ship was one of the ones which were reported missing. Stuck in the Nebula which made it to where warp engines do not work.
Service Record		2391 until 2393 was Operations officer at Avalon Station. 2393 until 2394 Engineering on the USS Boadicea. 2394- 2396 he was transferred to the USS Brixham, a science ship as Assistant Operations Officer before she was decommissioned. 2396-2398 Transferred to the USS Mercury as assistant chief engineer. 2398
