| General Overview | Before her parents' death, Nila was a joyful girl who loved to go out on adventures while being watched by her father's brother Zad while he was away with her mother transporting cargo. Now as an adult she has lost her faith and tends to be more cynical and argumentative with others who tend to disagree with Nila. This has led to issues between her and other personnel in Starfleet. Some have taken to calling her 'Grumpy Nila' due to her attitude, this has also affected her career path. |

| Personal History | Nila was born on her people's homeworld of Bajor, where she loved spending her days just exploring around where ever she could get herself. Around the age of ten, her father and mother died in an accident where the cargo ship they were operating lost power and crashed into the mountains. Nila spent days at the temple questioning anyone as to why the Prophets would allow this, but she never got any answers. Just before her uncle came to take her back to Earth with his wife, she took out her earring and threw it to the ground in the middle of the temple. Even with the change of planet, it didn't cool the anger inside Nila; friends distracted her from the pain that she carried but it was in the back of her mind. It was her aunt who suggested that maybe she should join Starfleet. She did so once she was done with schooling. Nila's events during her four years at the Academy were mostly uneventful, after finishing her courses she was assigned to the USS Yorktown as an Operations Officer. Her first year aboard she got along well with the Chief of Operations and when the Assistant position opened up he recommended her for the job. During her second year, things went wrong, while the Chief was away the Yorktown was studying an anomaly, during which the ship's computers had contracted some sort of virus. Nila and the Captain argued over what to do, when finally she took it upon herself and purged the system of all the data they had collected. Nila was reprimanded, demoted back to Ensign, and had this placed on her record. She heard about the opening on the Hawaii and put in for a transfer. She wanted to put distance between herself and the Yorktown. Her time on the Hawaii was short-lived only being on the ship for a short time before most of the crew transferred away. She remains for a short while longer than most but once again Nila put in for transfer this time for the Gladiator. |
